Lending Transactions

Transactions

Securities lending transactions are a hybrid form of a stock loan. The investor who has an idle block of stock can lend that stock to Jakob Fugger, which then has the right to use that stock to support short sales and similar transactions. In exchange for this right, Jakob Fugger provides a cash pledge to the investor, who can then use that cash for any legitimate purpose. The form of this transaction is similar to a nonrecourse stock loan, but the investor’s overall risks are different.

More Complex

Jakob Fugger will originate these more complex securities lending transactions only at the specific request of a long-term client of the firm. The specific terms and conditions of these transactions are negotiated on a case-by-case basis and can vary substantially based on specific aspects of the underlying securities. As with all transactions that we originate, we strongly urge investors to confer with their business and financial advisors before they conclude a securities lending transaction with our firm.
